Over the past few months, Zero Balloons has grown in ways I didn’t expect when it first began.
What started as a small, playful creative business making colourful pieces for kids has slowly become something more meaningful — community murals, commissioned artworks, reusable celebration pieces, and projects designed to be used again and again in public spaces.
As the work evolved, it became clear that the brand needed to evolve too.
Not in a loud way.
Not in a "new brand, new everything" way.
But in a subtle way that better reflected what Zero Balloons actually is today.
From party moments to shared experiences
In the early days, Zero Balloons was very much about fun, colour, and celebration — especially for children’s parties and festive decorations.
Over time, more and more of the work shifted toward:
- community colouring murals
- festival and event commissions
- long-term, reusable installations
- creative pieces designed for connection, not just decoration
These projects weren’t about one afternoon and done.
They were about:
- people participating together
- artwork living on beyond a single event
- creativity becoming part of a place
That change in the work naturally asked for more clarity in how everything was presented.
Why the website and structure changed
You may notice the website now feels calmer and more focused.
That’s intentional.
Zero Balloons is now clearly organised into three pathways:
Store – handmade, reusable celebration pieces
Hire – playful event displays designed for temporary use
Commissions – owned, custom-made murals and artworks
This makes it easier for people to understand:
- what can be hired
- what can be bought
- what can be commissioned
- and how each type of work is different
It also reflects a shift away from being seen as a “party stylist” business and toward being a maker of creative, reusable experiences.
A quieter visual direction
Along with the structural changes came a visual shift.
The colours, photography, and tone of the brand have slightly softened.
There is more space.
More breathing room.
More focus on the work itself.
You might also notice the logo now appears in a calm blue rather than bright, playful tones.
This wasn’t about following trends.
It was about choosing a colour that feels steady, confident, and reflective of where the business is now — still creative, still joyful, but more grounded.
The logo change is just one small part of a much bigger story.
What hasn’t changed
While the look has evolved, the heart of Zero Balloons hasn’t.
It is still:
- handmade
- creative
- playful
- exciting
- designed with care
- focused on reuse and sustainability
- built around bringing people together
The tools and projects may look different, but the intention remains the same:
to create things that invite participation, imagination, and connection.
What this means for clients
This evolution means:
- clearer offerings
- better understanding of what can be hired vs commissioned
- a stronger focus on reusable, long-lasting pieces
- and a brand that reflects the work being created today
