Like so many parents, I’ve been swept up in the party aisle at Spotlight. Balloons, plastic streamers, disposable confetti — all ending up in my trolley because I just wanted my child’s party to feel magical.
It’s so easy to do, especially when you’ve got a balloon-obsessed child tugging at your sleeve full of excitement and the promise of a magical party feels like a trolley load away.
For a while, I tried to be clever about it — saving the swirls, banners, and unused hats to reuse the next year. But then the theme would change, and I’d be left with a cupboard full of mismatched odds and ends that didn’t quite work together. Eventually, it all just felt like waste — wasted money, wasted space, and wasted materials.
That’s when Zero Balloons began — a name that pushes us to level up, because balloons are loved worldwide. They spark joy and memories of childhood happiness; some phycologists believe balloons tap into our sense of nostalgia. Reminding us of a simpler time when our worries are over cake and games - It's big shoes to fill, and we’re putting everything we can into it.

We’re a small family team of artists and designers with years of building and creative experience. We love creating, painting, and crafting — so you don’t have to. Every display we make is hand-painted, reusable, and built in our 100% solar-powered home, studio & workshop.

From kids’ birthdays to milestone events, we design eco-luxury décor that transforms any space. Our displays are bold, vibrant, and designed to last. And soon, we’ll be launching eco party packages to replace all the disposable things we used to buy without thinking — balloons, plastic bunting, cheap party bags, throwaway games, and more.
