Hi, I’m Michelle — a mum, artist, and maker who believes celebrations should be magical without all the plastic waste.
Like many parents, I love throwing parties that light up kids’ faces — but I hated the balloons, the throwaway confetti, the plastic party bags that ended up in the bin (or worse). So, I started experimenting… painting, building, and designing eco-friendly alternatives that are colourful, creative, and kid-approved.
This is my journey to reimagine parties — and you’re invited to come along.
When you think of kids’ parties, balloons are usually the first thing that comes to mind. They’re bright, bouncy, and festive — but unfortunately, they’re also one of the most harmful single-use decorations out there. Once the party’s over, they either sit in landfill or, worse, end up in waterways where they can hurt wildlife.
Like so many parents, I’ve been swept up in the party aisle at Spotlight. Balloons, plastic streamers, disposable confetti — all ending up in my trolley because I just wanted my child’s party to feel magical.
